Just purchased a new Q7.  Have had it for two months and am not satisfied with the amount of brake dust buildup on the rims.  Is this something that will get better with time?  Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated.

Also, I saw someone else post about this.  I also have another CD player under the armrest.  Not sure what purpose it serves.  Anyone know?  Thankyou.

Brake dust will always be a problem through the life of your oem pads - does not get better or worse with time.  Some replacements have less dust, but might also have different performance on your Q7.  You will find many views on the subject through a topic search.

Try checking with PhilsInc to see if Centric makes a ceramic pad for the Q7.  Here is the URL: www.philsinc.com

You can buy dust covers that go behnd your rims and will stop allot of the dust. The one in the center consil might be a dvd player. Do you have TVs?

The dust covers that go behinds the rims cut cooling to the brakes.  Not the best solution.  A low-dust pad like a ceramic is the best way to go to resolve the problem and still maintain proper braking performance.
