Default 02 a6 Driver side mirror broke

IM GUESSING I CANT FIX THIS MYSELF? How much do you think it would cost to repair? or for parts? I mean i can still adjust it to where its suppose to be, but when i closethem in and then open them back out againthis onegoes all the way round to like 130 degrees,Never will i use automatic car washes again [:'(]

Does it stay in the correct position when you put it there manually?
Most likely it need a new mirror motor.

Mine folds forwards as well. Are you saying it folds further forwards than it used to. If it doesn't move in the wind, who cares if it is able to move.

Mirror motor works fine i think the rubber part is suppose to be connected to something to stop it where its suppose to stop not keep it going forward

Yea jeffla im sayin it folds further than its supposed to when i do it automaticly, but yea ur right it doesnt move when im one the highway so i guess its good , but still bothers me sometimes jus knowing

I had no idea they had auto folding mirrors. That's really cool. Now I understand your problem. Before it just didn't make sense.
