Hey guys, I'm finally getting my windows tinted this afternoon and need some input. I'm thinking of doing the windshield 50% and the rest 30%. They guy is gonna do the whole thing for $125. What percent does everyone have on theirs? any pics?
oh, its a lake silver 2000 2.8 quattro. I'm planning on smoking the tails, gunmetal wheels, and allroad headlights. If that gives you an idea of where i'm going w/ it.

i wouldn't tint the windshield.. i have about a 6inch tint strip on the top on my window i think 15% and it looks sweet. the my front windows are about 17% and rears are 5%. I like darker tints but it is completely up to you. I would go darker than 30%tho, if you can. make sure they put 3M tint on.. sounds a little cheap so i would ask the guy if it is 3M. also, know what is legal and illegal. im totally illegal :p
what state are you in ... most are 30% and above but PA is NONE so google tint laws and youll see whats legal or not ... I had 5% all around (no windshield that is 100% ILLEGAL and dangerous) the 5% was way to dark i couldnt see out of it at night id recommend the smoke look if you are smoking the rest of your car ... about 20 -30%

I'm in south dakota., i think 30% is the limit, but screw it. I just got back from the place, ended up doing 15%. haven't touched the windshield yet but when he gets the 50% film on sat he's gonna pick my car up from work and finish the job. The price is low, He does it professionally but freelances out of his own shop. it ended up costing me $125 for everything but the windshield, that will cost me another 40. but its all guaranteed, and he uses lumar(i think thats a pretty good brand, yes?)
I have about 20% on mine. Im thinking of getting the front lip done. I paid $175. I like the whole car to match but I would have also liked them a little bit darker. Ming Blue Pearl/ Michigan. My fronts are illegal but no problems from the 5/0 yet

yea mine was a ming blue with the 5% ... i loved the privacy of people next to you not even knowing you were in the car in broad daylight lol but too much trouble from cops
