Where do I buy Clay Bars? Are they just at like an Autozone or Napa? Or do I have to order them?

Thanks dudes!

you would probably have better luck in the detailing forums

most of the autozones/napa/checker (around here at least) have some claybar kits from either Mothers, Meguiars, or Clay Magic
pretty much all detailing webstores will have some too
some will reccomend the brands from the online stores over off the shelf kits, but it's up to you

Another great detailing site is www.pakshak.com - they've got tons of good products there, including some hard-to-find brands. The off-the-shelf clay kits are fine to use. You might find a Concours-quality clay kit somewhere online that is reputed to be the best thing out there, but I've used store-bought kits for years and have never had less than a great result from them. Don't worry about buying one at the store and wondering if it's sub-par.

AutoZone and Advance Auto stock them - hell, I think I've even seen them at Walmart. Go with the brands recommended and you'll be in good shape. Just remember to take your time with the job. I spend a good 1.5 to 2 hrs claybaring a car. It's worth the time you spend. Follow with a couple coats of good polish, and top it off with a good wax (use only microfiber towels for application, and either microfiber or an orbital buffer to remove the coats). Your car will shine like new.

you can get the mothers kit at walmart for 15 bones... but i'd recommend picking up 2 of them so you have enough to make the car shine the way it was meant to.

One claybar should be enough to do several cars, but you may want an extra bottle of quick detailer for the job.
