Default RE: ESP problem

If the ESP light flashes, it is applying individual
brakes to control under or over steer.

Default RE: ESP problem

I had a similiar problem with my 2001 s4. The ESP light would stay illuminated and then cut back out after a period of time. The system is based on the traction control of the car. If it flashes vigorously then it should be working properly. In my case the light was solid and the problem was actually my MAF sensor. Considering this sensor measures load on the car, a fault in the system would mis-calculate and throw thelight because the VSS would not be valid either.
