Default new to the forums... my car has some issues

I picked up a 98 B5 1.8T 5 sp Quattro about 6 months ago and have really enjoyed it. It's comfortable, looks nice, and I love the feeling of all four wheels gripping the road and shooting me forward... but I can't help but feel like it's missing something. I'm sure you other B5 owners know what I'm talking about.

I need more power. The tiny little K03 doesn't have much lag to it (being that its so small) but it loses breath immediately and doesn't seem to offer that extra boost I'm looking for. What this boils down to is I need a K04. I'm also interested in a potential swap for the 2.8L (with further ambitions of boosting) but I don't know anything about how much of a pain in the ass this is. I know, I know, it sounds like I wanted an S4. I did and still do. The thing is, I picked this car up in great condition @ 120k for 4k. I was really pressed to find a new car (since my last one had been totalled a month and a half earileir - not my fault btw - and my rental car bill was getting to be fucking absurd) and I stumbled onto this. Great car, great price... needless to say I bought it. Now I'm just trying to make the most of it. I'll get an S4 someday, but in the meantime this car needs some work.

I also need suspension for two reasons: first, my car is riding entirely too high for my tastes, making it feel too much like a family car... second, my shocks are blown and I feel like I'm there someone swapped my suspension with marshmellows. Let's not even bring up body roll...

I need wheels and tires. I'm hoping to pick up some bbs lm replicas with some sticky rubber sometime soon.

I want/need to either replace the seats or reupholster them as the leather is torn in a couple of places.

I need a new clutch, new tail lights and a new bumper.

There's work to be done. I need resources for both parts and the how-to behind their installation. I think I'm in the right place.

Welcome to AF!

All of those topics are talked about A LOT here. I'm sure if you do a couple searches, you'll find most if not all of the information you need.

Yeah I'm pretty confident that I can find the info that I need here. On top of that, the OT forums are always fun. Anyhow, thanks for having me. Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute something helpful at some point. In the meantime, I have plenty of random stuff to post in OT. Cheers.
