Default new audi owner with questions

Hey I just bought a 1999 Audi A4- Pelican Blue Metallic with a Black Leather interior. It has 79k miles on it but there was documented service done on it and it looks clean. Only problem i found was the tachometer is broken. The needle is pointing past 7000 rpm and doesn't move at all. Any idea how to fix it or repair costs? Also do you think it would be worth it to buy a used car warrenty...all I see from research is how expensive Audi's are to repair. The engine looks in good shape tho and the maintenance record is good too. Thanks.
