Default 2003 A6 2.7t 6spd Manual-- Brake light help!

Recently my Brake light on the dash randomly flashes and beeps three times, its really annoying...The parking break seems to be releasing fine..ANy ideas?

If it is just the red brake light flashingcheck the brake fluid.

Hi. Sorry I can't help, but I feel your pain. My brake light also came on after a recent brake job. I tried adjusting the parking brake...which seems to be fine and so is the brake fluid. I don't get the beeps anymore...that went away after I topped off the fluid, but the light on the cluster is annoying, escecially when driving at night. If you figure out what's causing yours let me know. If I'm able to remedy mine, I'll definitely let you know. Good Luck

If you get a symbol in your dash that looks like this

(O)

Than you need to change your brake pads, there is a sensor that is on the pads that tells the computer that the pads are worn down. If anything you may have to see if the sensor wire was cut. This may or may not be your problem.
