Default rough idle

Okay so i took my car in to get it looked at since ive been running a rough idle for a month now. I have a 2003 1.8t a4. They fixed the coolant flange and they also fixed the tension cam gasket or whatever it was called. Now the mechanic working on the car told me that it stills runs rough idle and that i would have to take it to audi to reprogram the engine? is that true or did he just not fix anything?

There's a vacuum hose to the right of the cam cover that likes to break.
