Manual tranny you cannot push too hard a launch at 3k is alright but popping it at 4 or 5k and you could do damage to your clutch or burn it out waaaayyyy sooner than normal. This is because of quattro.... FWD you can be a bit tougher on. Get a high performance clutch and you'll be able to launch at a higher RPM.

Put it in gear, left foot on the break, right foot on the gas, "load" the car, release break, go. Not rocket science with an automatic. Just don't put it in neutral and rev it up and pop it into gear.

I think you can get a better launch if you put it in tiptronic mode.

you have a slow, fat, automatic pig of a car, make it look nice and dont try to race anyone because 99% of the cars and even minivans and pickups can easily beat you

Ahh, I remember the neutral bomb drops, I used to do that allll the time in my RWD Auto Nissan pickup. That bastard wouldnt die! Something tells me the probability of something going wrong is directly proportional to how much you want to keep the car...

Hence why my 2500RPM launches are well thought out. Man it's fun to race those little pissy Civics with the fart can and NASA Wing though. HAHA That, and I have my "This Sticker Adds 100 Horsepower" bumper sticker, just to rub it in a little...
