Default My Big Adventure (pics)

Hey what's up everybody.
Some of you might remember a couple weeks ago i posted a thread about my car getting totaled... http://www.audiforums.com/m_882881/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

Well, i decided that i was getting sick of driving a boring rental around town while i wait for the insurance company to take care of business, so i went ahead and bought another avant! It is way, way better than the last one. It's a 5-speed A4 Avant 1.8T with quattro, just like my old one, except the new one is a 99.5 with the sport package! I figured that if i bought something other than a B5, i just wouldn't be happy with it or feel good about owning it.

So yesterday i hopped on a plane to california, bought the car, and drove her back to phoenix. Took me nine hours, three cans of Rockstar, and lots of pee breaks but i made it without any hiccups. If you ever decide you need a few gray hairs, try taking the freeway all the way across the entire LA metro area during rush hour. Anyway, here are a few pictures. I'll post up some more later today.

Be sure to tell em, Large Marge sent ya!

Shhh! I'm TRYing to use the PHONE!!!

Wow grats! That's a pretty fast recovery! I did love your captions on your old car. BTW are you buying back the old advant? You could probably use it for a parts car

Wow, I'm not sure how I missed that that had happened to you, but bummer! And congrats.

What little AZ town was that?

Possibly. It would be handy to have it for parts but i don't really have a good place to store it. It depends on how much they'd want to buy it back... If it was less than $1k then i'd consider it but my bank account is hurting after dropping the cash on the new one..

It was right outside of payson, which is like 80 miles north of phoenix. Evidently they've got plenty of crappy drivers up there :/

Oh, cool. I went to boarding school at Orme...you pass by it on I-17 south of Camp Verde and probably don't even know it's there. I lived in Flagstaff for a while, too. Fun. And yes...terrible drivers are everywhere! I'm not sad to have left.
