What's up, so I just got my second A4, and wanted to do everything possible to differentiate it from my first. A small change I want to do is shave the decals on the back that say "A4" and "2.0T". Anyone have any idea how to do this at home? I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of unsticking the decal from the glue, but wasn't sure how to go about doing that. I obviously don't want to scratch up the paint or anything, so I just wanted to ask around for any opinions...

Why? Are people not going to know that it is an A4 when you take off the badges?

hey... i did this on mine and i think looks alot better... all you have to do is heat it up with a hair dryer and then get fishing line and "floss" it off. After that is done just goo gone the rest off then make sure you wash it after your all done! very easy

Wow, that sounds pretty simple. As far as heating it up, do you literally just blow dry the badges? For about how long? And as far as taking off the badges, it's not that I think people won't know it's an A4, I just wanna shave it to try something new. Any Audi enthusiast would know an A4 is not an S4 or an RS4 etc. I simply want it to look a little different than my last one. I'm keeping the Audi symbol on the back, just taking off the 2.0 and A4 part.

ya i am considering doin that to mine as well... i think it gives it a much cleaner look if you ask me! let me know how it goes

ya, just use some dental floss and start slicing away. If its in the sun and its near 90 then that should be warm enough to not need to heat it up.

mine came right off my Scion tC. It had just been sitting in the sun all afternoon. You might want to wax that spot and keep the decal for when you want to sell the car. I'm about to sell my tC so need to get some doublesided tape and stick it back on.

ya well i think the logo is cool and will probably stick it on my wall somewhere next to my computer or something so im not gonna throw it away or anything so... its just a matter of letting it sit out in the awful atlanta heat and taking it off in a few hours

K, I just flossed off the badges with some fishing line and it worked pretty easily. I blow dried it, then just flossed it off and goo-goned whatever little residue was left, which really wasn't much. When all was said and done, it took me about 15 minutes total and I really like how it looks. Glad I did it.
