Default A3 S-Line w/18" R8 Rims - Pictures Anyone?

I'm waiting for Simone, my new S-Line 08 A3, to arrive off the boat from Ingolstadt, and I've been using the time to look at some wheel options. Does anyone have the 18" R8 rims on their car? I found a supplier locally, not OEM, but still looks good.

Those rims OEM are a sweet chunk of change.

I can get them here from a dealer who sells them cheaper than Audi. (And REAL OEM) But still, about $1200 a piece. Perhaps that was for 19s, but pretty sure they were 18s.

Get those OEM for Simone and you just added 10% to the cost of her! BUT...sweet rims!

I have OEM RS4s on mine...very sweet rims and I get complimented on them all them time.

Hmm, I'm also considering the RS4 rims. The seller emailed me these pics of his A4 Avant with them on. I'm thinking that our brakes are not that big so those R8 rims might be showing a bit too much. The RS4 rims on the other hand have more spokes, and the brakes won't be as blatantly noticeable. Any thoughts on this?

You are SOOO right on the brake issue. If you put the R8 rims on without new brakes, it would look pretty bad in my opinion. The gaps between the spokes is very large specifically to show off the massive brakes on the R8. So, if you put the R8 rims on, you would need a big brake kit. If you have the money and want to drop it on an A3 it's going to look SICK...but for me at least it's not worth it on an A3. (And no disrespect to our cars, I love mine!) I have the six spoke wheels, here's a pic for your reference.

Yah, I'm just leasing it since I don't like the costs of ownership and I like to have new cars, so BBK is out of the question. Those are nice rims, are they the RS4 or just six spoke (or are they one and the same thing) ?

7-spoke OEM RS4s.

Those are cool rims on the A4, but I don't think they are the 'normal' RS4 rims.

Hey Cur;
Nice wheels!! Love the colour of your A3. What percent is your tint job? That tint job goes really well with that blue.
Also - can you post a closer in picture of those wheels please. THX.
