Default Reset Service Reminder

I have a 2006 A3 and I can't figure out how to reset the service reminder after I changed the oil. I have done lots of searches and tried a few things but everything I've read seems to be for older audi's .... can anyone help?

Not sure but I think its a pattern with the trip reset stock. Check in the DIY section. or it may be here - AudiDIY (Do It Yourself)

Or you could just admit that you're not a real man, and look it up in the owner's manual.

It's not in the owners manual. I went through it several times. All it says is that the dealer will reset it when you get your oil changed

Turn ignition on

pull out on the right hand instrument cluster knob - display should say SERVICE.

pull again to get SERVICE in XX Miles/Days

tap the reset buttom (bottom of right stalk) within 5 seconds to reset.

This is page 32 and page 47 of the '07 manual.

Ya I tried that reset sequence in the manual but it doesn't work.

Any other ideas?

I remember now that the book is a bit misleading. Get the service reminder up in the window, then pull and hold the button as you hit the reset. works fine, I just reset mine.

Or just pull once to get the reminder up and then pull and hold within 5 seconds and it will reset without pushing anything else.
