Default Kimbo/Thompson fight

Holsy Crap. Did anyone else watch that fight last night. Absolutely massive.

http://www.mmatko.com/kimbo-slice-vs...video-elitexc/

Im not usually one to watch these but its just insane what these two can take, and give. Beasts. I've seen street fighting videos of Kimbo online but never expected him to go "pro" with it. If you havent seen it watch it through, great fight.

I thought the chick fights were the highlight to be honest. That Gina Carano can mount me any day. I'd never seen female MMA before last night and I was pretty impressed. That's not to say that the rest of the fights weren't any good though.

I thought it was great that Baroni "the new york jackass" got beat the fvck up after dancing his way into the ring in a sparkling sequined robe. Douchebag. I think at 10-10 he might be done in the professional MMA scene though. I would have liked to have seen him get his ass kicked a few more times but whatever.

That Kimbo fight was pretty solid but I really wish those guys had been in better shape. Did they not know they were going to be in the ring potentially for 15 mins? They were completely gassed after the first round. I kind of wanted Big Black to hop into the ring and finish that guy off. btw, was anyone else disgusted when his ear popped? You had to know that was coming... but wow. Dirty.

All in all, I'm glad they're bringing MMA into mainstream entertainment to get it some more exposure, but they need to put the fireworks and smoke effects away. The whole thing was waaaay too sensationalized. They're doing a good thing the wrong way.

Dude I could take him... no problem! HAHA

Seriously though... these guys are insane! How your body can take that much of a pounding is amazing to me. IDK how they do it!

Kimbo's professional career is 3-0, but he did lose one of his street brawls toSean Gannon before entering the Elite XC. I would love to see him go against someone the UFC. In the last part of the 2nd round, when Thompson had him on the mat, those elbows were doing no damage. Disruptive and annoying, yes, but no real damage. Chuck Liddel would wipe the floor with him.

meh it was an alright fight if you like non technical slug fests (who doesn't?) but was it the best fight to air on national tv for the first time...I think not. While i'm sure a bunch of ppl tuned in I dont think that sort of slug fest with two average MMA athletes (and yes they were average at best when compared to other MMA fighters)was the best fight they could have put together. Especially when it was representing the MMA for the first time on national non cabletv. I mean that guys colly ear was questionable before the fight even started you knew that it was going to explode in blood at some point. No doubt Kimbo puts "asses in seats" as someone said but I think it would have been better served as an undercard fight.

Does anyone remember watching the final of the first Ultimate Fighter on Spike? That was a fight it was also a bloody slug fest but IMO so much more technical as well. That is they type of fight that will launch the sport to the next level.

Did anyone happen to catch the WEC fight on sunday night? Faber vs. Pulver was a decent fight, however i think Pulver could have done a better job than he did. The Bantam Weight fight between Torres and the asian guy was freakin crazy. Probably one of the best fights i've seen live. Too bad they had to call it after the 3rd.
