Default 2005 A6 Service Reset/MMI Interval

Just changed the fluid on my wife's A6. Trying to reset the service indicator. Is there a way to manually do it on a 2005 A6 3.2 with MMI? The MMI menus say it is past due, but doesn't offer a solution to reset like it does on my BMW's I-Drive.

Also, it is set for a 5k interval and I'd prefer to raise that up to 7500 or 8000. Can I do that manually or is that a dealer item to do?

I don't have an OBDII scanner (yet) or any of the vag-com solutions yet, but as I do more on this A6 myself, the Bentley manual I have coming will be a HUGE help. Until then, your inputs are appreciated!!!

Default RE: 2005 A6 Service Reset/MMI Interval

You need a Vag-Com to reset it. My dealer tells me that it defaults to 5,000 miles and can't be changed. Since I already have the oil changed every 5,000 miles, and always have it done at the dealer, it has not been a problem. Except of course when the dealer forgets to reset it.
