Default Front plate question...

The plastic piece that the front plate is attached to removes leaving the front grill plateless w/o any holes in it correct? There is no additional piece that you have to purchase from Audi or anything? I am asking b/c my dealer told me they have to deliver it with a front plate and that I can remove it on my own. I just want to make sure its that simple.

thnx in advance!

ya its just like 4 or 5 screws that you have to unscrew... however i would recommend getting a differnt piece, not one that has a liscence place but just a flat one that they have because other wise it looks retarded

Default RE: Front plate question...

The lady at the dealer made it sound like all I have to do is pop off the piece that hold the plate and this would be underneith. She did not mention buying an additional piece.

EDIT: I just did some searching and I found www.madaudi.com sells the "grill filler panel" for $107 usd even if I'm a 2 plate state and choose not to have a front plate should they include this? I'm gonna have to speak with my sales rep over at the stealership and see if they can include this with my recent purchase of the car =)

ya that piece that your circled is not under the liscence plate thing. If you take off the liscence plate part there will just be a bunch of black plastic holes in the grill which looks awful. if i were you i would ask them to include it in the deal. They did that with me without a problem, my sales rep just went to another car, unscrewed that piece and switched it with mine so now i have the one in the picture

I bought that car in CA, which requires two plates, but that's how they sold it to me, so I've just never put the front plate on.
