Default DTC P1122 and P1140

I got trouble codes on my 2000 A6 Avant. Using a cheap code reader I get P1122 and P1140. Reading old posts I was lead to the rear bank 2 O2 sensor. I have the Bentley Repair Maual and they dont list these codes??? Can anyone tell me what exactly they mean and if related to the O2 sensor, is there is way to properly test them.

Bottom line: I have to get the lights off for the inspection place.

Like always.... help is MUCH appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike

Default RE: DTC P1122 and P1140

Hi. Code 1122means, "O2 Sensor Heater Circ., Bank 2 Sensor 2 Open" Code 1140 means, " Bank 2 Sensor 2 Internal Resistance Too High".
It sounds to me as if you've got a bad O2 sensor on the driver's side after/behind the catalytic converter. I'd replace it.....its most likely gone bad.
