Default too much heat when convertible top down

I am getting heat coming thru vents in econo mode, especially when the top is down and most noticable at the lower (foot, driver side) vents. This occurs even though set at "Lo". We had astuck vent cover taken care of before, but problem is recurring. What is odd is that it seems to only occur when top down and may be intermittent (I live in the north, so hard to tell if consistent with outside temperature or not.) Thanks for any info - techs seem confused as well.

Default RE: too much heat when convertible top down

I haven't noticed anything unusual with mine, but living in SoCal I usually have the vents off when the top is down.

Default RE: too much heat when convertible top down

econo mode is a fancy word for the fan blowing in outside air, my guess is that the reason so much heat is coming from the driver foot is because that air is being warmed by the engine, it would come out even higher when the fan is set to low because the air has more time to sit in the air ducts

i live in the north as well and i noticed the same issue but usually my windows are down instead of running econo mode for that reason as well
