Had nothing but trouble with this dealership. Salemans was rude, should have learned my lesson then, but went ahead and leased A8L anyway. Service is worse. Told me Audi had issues with alignment and tire wear, even told me which tire was worn before I could! Said couldn't rotate tires on newer models, hence tire wear. Then denied making statement! Said balding right rear tire after 12,800 miles was my problem. Said alignment was only guaranteed 3 months. But didn't do new alignment when servicing vehicle. Said that can get no information from Germany on vehicle unless it's hooked up to computer so Germany could see problems for themselves. Worse dealership expereince ever!
Have been Hoffman customer for years, their Lexus division is superb!

I just had my 5k mile service done at Hoffman in New London and they were great. I was on an extended road trip and decided to call around to see if I could get the service done, didn't want to wait till I got home. I called them up and they said I could bring the car in that day. No problems, service manager was cool, did the work fast, washed the car. No problems at all. I'd suggest them to anyone in the area.
I called the dealer where I bought the car to schedule service, Riverside Audi in West New York, and they were busy, said they would call me back and schedule. It has been a week and they still have not called back.

Ohhhhhhh, I cant stand those people!
To make a long story short - my A8 suffered a broken ABS pump which leaked out most of the brake fluid (or whatever), I was a mile away from them and brakes were almost non-existant, so I had no choice but to limp into their abode, as my regular shop is 15 miles away in Stonington. I had a bad experience with their service dept before, but I had no choice really - I wasnt about to get on I95 with just a hand-brake.
Bottom line - the car needed an ABS pump. Their solution - only a new one will work ($1300 just for the part itself, add $400 for labor, $100 for brake fluid). According to them - used one wont work at all because its impossible to reconnect an ABS pump that has been taken off a diff A8, citing official Audi procedures. Took me a few days of research to smell through the BS, the other shops and my friends at an Audi dealer in Boston were outraged at the crap they were telling me, to the point of calling them and telling them to stop this nonsense.
Finally got my car towed out of there to my regular shop in Stonington, but not before they charged me $200 for removing my non-working ABS pump and putting it back in(!!!)
Got a used ABS pump from Shokan in NY for $600, installed by Import Auto in Stonington for $380.
If something like that ever happens again and the closest place to go is Hoffman Audi, I'll just call a tow truck right away and tow the car to my regular shop.
Apparently, a 22 year old who looks like he's 18 (me) with an Audi A8 is like a red rag to a bull, or a walking cash register to an Audi dealer.
The 5K service you may still be happy with Hoffman Audi. Just post me your Hoffman experiences again when you are past the 50K mark. If you stick with them, just pan on spending $10,000 for service between 50K-100K.
Purchased a Certified Pre-owned 03 A4 from Hoffman this past July...LOVE the A4! The dealership has terrible sales and service. Unknowledgeable parts people, lazy sales personnel, and dishonest management. Will not go back.
My 03 A41.8t was misfiring the other day and the CEL was flashing. It is a CPO I purchased from Hoffman last year. It was towed to them under the CPO warranty.Hoffman calls me up to tell me it is the Check Valve. I ask about the coil packs because there was a recall for these and we had a GTI 1.8T that did the same exact misfire.
Hoffman insists it is just a check valve.
I do not hear back from them and spent 20 minutes on the phone attempting to locate someone to find out if the A4 was repaired. I go to pick it upthe next day.
Hoffman tells me that thereplaced the CheckValve and all 4 Coil Packs. I look at the receipt andthe coil pack replacement is not on my receipt. Look under the engine cap and yup...they are new.
This freakin' dealership never certified the car last year and only did so after they were forced by corporate Audi (Long Story) and apparently they never performed the coilpack recall. hence why the coilpack replacement was not on my receipt. They could not bill Audi CPO for the expense of the tow due to a recall they should have performed prior to my purchase.
