Default Stop Slip?

I know they make transmission stop slip for transmissions that are on there way out. My question is will this stuff buy me some extra time with my CVT that is starting to get jerky? I think I need the car to last about another month or so before I have the funds to fix it.
If this stuff won't work does anyone know of anything that might make it last another month? I drive it daily and I just want to make sure it lasts long enough for me to fix.
Thanks!!

How many miles on your CVT, wags38?? From allof the threads I've seen related to the CVT, I would agree with PAPACHRISTOU on his quote.

I also have a CVT in mine...I definitely baby the car because I heard the CVT is unfixable and it's right around $6-9,000 to get a replacement.

Let us know what happens with your situation - Good Luck!

Neat car, cute chick! LOL

Have your tried replacing the fluid and see if you get lucky? I'm a newbie to Audi, but not new to cars, and some cars with Auto trannies sometimes need a fluid change and they stop slipping, I don't know if that applies to a Constant Velocity Tranny...

$9000 for a transmission, eek! Good luck!

Great Job! And afantastic observationMidggett! You just won a brand new pair of pink panties! Now just unwrap those from around your neck and take a breath real quick. Did your A4 come off the line with those wheels? That's what I was thinking too. It's purely aesthetic. I really do love and greatly appreciate the opinionyou're entitled to, but I simply didn't ask for it here.

Now let’s keep the Audi Forums a great place to visit for CONSTRUCTIVE and INFORMATIVE information about our Audi(s), shall we? Come see us again soon, ok sweetheart.
