Default Track day pics!

I went to Summit Point WV this weekend. Drove the Shenandoah circuit.

All in all, it was a lot of fun but made me develop a strong urge to outperform an M3 and drastically upgrade my brakes.

How did the fwd and massive wheels fair? What brakes are you using now?

Massive wheels were fine, the tiny (1.5") sidewalls made for lots of turning response on a primarily twisty track. They fared much better than the setup I had with my stock 17's would have.

Brakes are stock all around...yuck.

I agree with Cincy on the brake upgrade. Although I am surviving with upgraded pads, it's still not as much stopping power as I think I could get. My Pagids are wearing unevenly as well. The stock calipers just aren't up to the task, even with upgraded rotors. Long term, the stockers just aren't viable.

CincyDid you get just front Wilwoods or rear also?

I just have fronts since they do most of the braking. I got them at hotrodusa.com with plain face and then had to buy the lines (wont work w/o the lines) from jegs. Then i sold my stock brakes for $200+ship on ebay. They come with 2 peice rotors, 4piston calipers, high temp brake pads (fine on the street), and a proportioning valve.

I didn't realize Wilwoods were only $800...wow. I remember you saying you paid $600 after selling your old ones. I may have to look into that.

Not sure if the cost went up or not, but they are $845 now or $945 with drilled and slotted. Then another $70 for the lines. So its ~$700 with selling your brakes

http://www.hotrodsusa.com/store/dpbbfront_hat.htmlThey have free ship and send you lines, but they dont fit the car. You should ask if they will keepthe lines and take some of the price since they are a waste to have
