Default Radio troubleshooting

I was on a longer drive this past weekend, and at one point, the volume on the radio increased dramatically. I glanced at the readout which simply said "Alarm" on it. A couple seconds later the readout was back to normal (as was the volume). What gives?

I have a '04 A4 with a Symphony II. Thanx in advance for any input.

Default RE: Radio troubleshooting

I have the same problem occasionally with my 97 A4. Every now and then the volume goes way up, then way down. I think the SVC is kinda flaky
