Default question about pulling 1.8T motor

Hi,
I have a 2002 A4 B6 1.8t with low compression, need to pull motor and re-ring.

Still waiting for my Bentley's to get here, in the mean time wanted to ask a general question:

When pulling this motor, is it better to pull the block with the head still on, better to yank the head first and then the block, or does it matter either way?

Thanks

Default RE: question about pulling 1.8T motor

i would pull the complete motor, but why would you need to re-ring a 6 yr old motor?

why would you pull the block to do it?
