I own an 06 A4 3.2 S-line FWD (automatic transmission with trip and paddle) and I'm looking to make it faster. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to after market parts and have no idea what I'm doing.
Im looking to only spend a grand for the time being.. Any tips on how to get as much as I can out of my car for the amount of money I'm willing to spend at the moment?

exhaust and a chip if they make one. the 3.2 engine doesnt really have any big time mods. except a super charger but that will be about 4 grand and i dont even think they make that yet.

ya you are really limited with the 3.2 liter engine.... i would go exhaust and see if they make a chip for it, but dont count on anything, i dont know if they make chips for the NA engines yet

Yeah, I don't really see what a chip would do for an NA... I'm certainly no expert on chipping, but it seems the majority of what they do is related to the turbo. Without that, I'm not sure how much a chip could do.

ya thats what i was thinking as well... i would go with exhaust and after that im not exactly sure what you can do without messing with the internals of the engine like camshaft and headers and stuff

I would definitely go Intake and Exhaust. Although that would most likely go over your 1k limit.

Intake and Exhaust is what i had in mind, any word on what type would work with the car the best?

well for the exhaust i would go on youtube to see what they sound like so you can get something that you will like the sound of but as for what works best any exhaust should work really just look on tuner websites for B7 models

APR, Milltek, Borla and i think AWE all do exhausts for the B7, it just depends on the sound you want... also, MTM (german tuning company) makes exhausts which sound amazing, my friend just has the tips on his S4 and it sounds so much better than the stock S4, a real nice deep sound, but on the more expensive side
