Default 05 S4 Mileage and Upgrades

I'm currently drive a 2000 ford expedition around as my daily driver, and i now have enough money to drive an 05 s4. My question is i know that it isn't the most fuel efficent car but then again anything is better thne my expedition, so those of you who have s4's with the V8 what kind of mileage do you see in the city and highway? Also if you could list the mods you have as well that will help me get a better estimate on what to expect.

Thanks

Highway I get about 21-22 at 70, around town probably 14-15 but I also live in the mountains and a combined of usually around 18. If you baby it you can get decent mileage, its just you'll always want to get on it! As of now its stock but I'm planning on hacking the rear mufflers and keeping the mids soon to make it a little more throaty.

Good luck and buy from the auctions! Audi charges a huge premium for S models, so I would recommend buying from an auto broker.

The mileage sucks, especially at $4.80 a gallon. I average about 16mpg. As far as mods:

Rear swaybar is a must and the biggest bang for your buck - $250
Next I'd do some nice coilovers - cheaper ones are $1000 - PSS9s are around $2500
Milltek exhaust - at least catbacks but I did DPs as well - $3000
Revo chip with switcher - can't remember price

The smile on your face from the growl of your badass ride - priceless.

Stand by for the replies that tell you to get a B5 instead. 40mpg, 1000+ whp with mods, blonde in the passenger seat, longer harder erections, etc.

Haha at least we can read our LCD display for MPG... I wonder if B5 owners knew LCD displays come in color and last longer than 2 years before burning out! AND I my MPG at 200... downhill [:@]. Last I check all the girls I showed a B5 to said "That just looks old", so I think we might be hotter with the new body styles , and did I mention how a V8 turns the ladies on??

I think part of the sex appeal for the B5 is that its much easier to modify being as its already a turbo.
