Default I want to lower car. Camber....

Well I want to lower my car with a coil over kit, in about a week I'm gonna buy the kit...

I'm planing on getting a realignment about a week or two later... So two questions.....

1.) Will the two weeks with no re-alignment make a huge difference?

2.) Will my camber be really messed up to the point of tire wear even with an alignment?

I'd say I went a good two weeks before I got aligned, and my car was fine.

They told me that my camber was off, and that it may rub when the wheels are turned as far as they will go, but that didn't worry me. There's people that run their cars a lot lower and with a lot wider tire than you or I do, so I wouldn't be too worried.

you can wait a bit, just try to keep the miles and speed down. alot of people wait, then put it off, then forget and then eat a set of tires for $800... a $70 alignment is much cheaper in the long run. Just get it done asap.

I know with camber on mine it is corrected as far as possible and within 'tolerance' but the guy that did the alignment noted that it wasn't ideal, but it's as good as it's gonna get. at the time of replacing tires, i did have uneven wear and was told i lost around 3k liles of treadlife. to me, that's an acceptable loss for a non stock setup...

my. 02,
Ryan

as long as you don't lower it too far you should be fine. i have to get a camber kit for mine, it cost about 800 dollars cauese even after alignment it still won't go into tolerence and i wear tires out quickly. but am able to turn on a dime and at the lowest point the car is only 2 inches off the ground.
