When at idle, if I touch the throttle lightly, the engine makes a quick knock sound between 900 and 1000 RPM's. Not valve tap, Not fuel injector ticking. Barely loud enough to hear in car with windows down, and all other noises off. Just changed oil, thats when I noticed. All other fluids fine. It does this both moving and at rest. Also with clutch engaged or disengaged. I checked VAG is clear, except mis fires (common). Sorry I think I will have to trade it in, SOOOO Pissed, I just paid it off and lost the warrenty.

This is really horrible. I just paid it off. No warrenty since 80,000. Same thing with my M-3, I paid it off and a tree fell on it cerca1990. Anyway the worst thing about it is that I just traded in my 2004 R-32 (fast), so my wife could get a hybrid.Only two weeks ago. So sad..... Stuff Happens.
Also, you might want to just drive it until something major goes wrong. I'd say with 239k miles and more as you keep driving, you got your moneys worth.
