Default it's time for new rubbers

Dear AF,

I'm going to pick up a set of new tires for my baby, and since I don't know jack shit about tires really, I'm looking for some recommendations. My buddy has some Riken Raptors that handle very well around corners. Anybody have anything better they suggest? I'm looking to rape corners at speeds obscene enough to give passengers heart attacks. And send them into shock. Or a coma. That'd be cool.

And before anybody flames me for that last comment; no, I will not be driving recklessly. I know my car's limits, and I'm in no mood to die in a car accident. I'll be pushing it, but I won't throw caution to the wind via slamming every corner I take.

My Kumho ASXs have been serving me pretty well. I paid $110 per tire to wrap my 17x7s, so the price is pretty fair.

I had to get a set in a pinch and went with the General Exclaim UHP. I can tell you I am very impressed with the early performance of these tires - I have not been able to break them free yet.

I've only had them for 3 weeks, but hot damn they feel good. Much better performance than the Falken Azeni ST115s they replaced. And they were cheap too at $110/tire (235/40/18).
