Default will it fit?

Hi,

Just wondering if 215/55r16 tires would rub anywhere when mounted on black steel wheels?
I'm running 235/45r17 right now and its the equivalent but summer rims have more backspacing than the steel wheels..

Thanks,
Michael

Hi,

Just wondering if 215/55r16 tires would rub anywhere when mounted on black steel wheels? no, only polished steel wheels.
I'm running 235/45r17 right now and its the equivalent but summer rims have more backspacing than the steel wheels..
But seriously they should fit.
Thanks,
Michael

I'm not sure if you understood my question... the steel wheels have less backspacing so they are closer to the hub.. therefore putting the tire closer to the UCA...

cant say exactly but on my old 97 a4 2.8 i ran 235/35 19s and they didnt rub, though it was damn close and the car wasnt lowered. if your not lowered i would say your fine.

if your worried buy a $12 set of spacers just in case.
