I dont know if this is with all Audi's but on my manual tranny, my reverse is on the bottom right, which leads me to believe that my tranny has been replaced during the last ownership.which leads me to my question, did Audi ever make them with reverse on the bottom right or are they all strictly top left? also my shift knob shows that the reverse is in the bottom right.

ok well ive never really been in any other audi other then mine so i figured it was how it was sapposed to be. but my buddy with a VW git has a 5 speed as well and his reverse is in the top left. he told me that all audis and VWs have the reverse on the top left weather its a 6 speed or not ... then i saw a video of this guy with a tt and he pretty much said the same thing as he showed his 5 speed shift knob.
His is an older "GIT" as you put it..... My 86 "GIT" had the reverse top left and it was a 5 speed too... It's called CHANGE...... it tends to happen as time passes
oh im sory im pretty new to audis and all i heard was that ALL audis have it on the top left so i thought id ask someone one here because i figured someone would know ...i dident think i deserved the sarcasum
