Default R/C trucks anyone?

Hey all, just joined another expensive hobby I just picked up a Nitro truck, have always wanted one. I actually got the one I wanted new about 6 years ago, HPI MT-2

What do you think? Things to watch for? Also, it mentioned the front knuckles are bad? Easy/cheap fix? It can't be as expesive as a real car, so that is exciting!

Default RE: R/C trucks anyone?

I have a jammin CRT RTR (The cheap one)

mods/upgrades:

axial 0.28 engine
CNC machined chassis braces
spektrum DX3.0 3ch spread specrrum radio
external fuel filters
polycarconate custom painted (by me) body

So far replaced:

shocks
front and 1 rear control arms

All in all yeah another expensive hobby. Im about 1500 into this thing so far i guess including the couple gallons of fuel ive put through it. Can only imagine if I was a real enthusiast. Looking into my older cousins budget of prolly a few hundred a month, ill stick to real cars. At least my TT roadster gets me some badge from time to time.
