whats the reasoning behind the design? Just looks, or is it something of a heatshield from the chargepipe/turbo heat.

they say it protects the coilppacks from heat...i can see how actually it lets air in that area kinda like an air scoop but still sheilds from the turbo heat

simple green, and dont be afraid to get ur hands dirty reaching in all the tight areas.

there are also some engine degreesers out there that you spray on a warm motor and hose off. Be sure to cover ur air filter if you have an open element.

Ok I have old oil all over the bay I just need to cover the batt air filter & alt & I can spray water into the engine? You removed the SAI, N249, PCV, EVAP? Does your car throw a CEL?

I wash my engine w/o covering anything hasnt hurt anything I spray it with aircraft soap then spray it off
