Me and the lady take a vacation to SeaWorld over the weekend. Everything was good until I had to show up at the office on Monday. So, I do my daily thing... work work work, leave when I'm done, get out of the elevator, walk out the front door and the UPS guy says, "Hey, isn't that your car?" (he must have seen me get in/out of it before). I reply, "Yeap!" He says, "Well they are over there *points* waiting for you". I get closer and see a 20" Aluminum trailer sitting on top of my hood.... WHAT THE FUGZ!?
I couldn't believe it.
I go to the guys who had done this and immediately they explain how they were unhooking the trailer and they lost control of it because it has malfunctioning parts. It rolled about 50 yards down the parking lot and landed on my car.
The owner of the company tried giving me the run around - I won't go into much detail unless you really want to know.
Anyhow, so far, without taking it apart, there is over $6,000 of damage.
I'm sad.
bye.

when it rains it poors. haha
THEN... in the next 6 months (or sooner) i need to do a TB job. argh... wah wah wah
See if you can get the tb done with all the work being done to the top of the engine as well. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to have them do it at the same time...

f that. i'd have them buy the car off me and get me into a new one. your car will never be the same. paint and gaps on who ever does the body work will tell you. if someone hits my car they better total it or i'll total their face. lol j/k i'm not that mean but still i'd flip out.

I know the car won't be the same... surprisingly so far, there isn't any engine damage other than the radiator support column - or whatever you call that. they haven't torn it down yet so perhaps they'll find other things as well.
I bought the car in 2007 and owe out the arse on it so having them buy it from me is not an option. Again, so far it's only about $6k of damage.
As for getting the run around from the owner of the company who owns the trailer:
When I went outside, his 2 contractors admitted to the whole thing and even explained how/why the trailer got out of their control. They took me upstairs to the owners office and he said that everything will get taken care of and to go back down and get the 2 contractors insurance; it is to go on theirs since it was their truck and trailer. I asked if he called the cops and he said that he did but they wouldn't come out. Some other BS went on where I almost lost my cool... then we all went downstairs to see the damage. I start taking pictures and the owner keeps telling his guys, " HURRY UP!... C`MON HURRY! " so I couldn't get any taken. Fortunately, I snapped some of it's license plate, the way it was on my car and all of them standing there watching.
So we start to go back upstairs to get everything copied and I decide to go call the police myself. I go to my office, dial 911 and the lady said she'll send an officer right out (wtf? so much for them not coming!). So I go back towards their office and the 2 contractors stop me and say, "Man, I'm really sorry that this happened but I just wanted to tell you that the owner is lying. The truck and trailer belongs to him but he keeps trying to pin it on me!" I reply, "I understand, regardless of who owns it, this needs to get fixed".
So I go wait by my baby and the cop shows up, I tell him everything. The owner of the company comes back downstairs and is surprised to see the cop there. He tries avoiding going to get his insurance info (for his truck & trailer) and the cop puts him in his place and makes him go get it. So I get his insurance information, the cop leaves and I'm there waiting for my girl to show up so I can get a ride and we can have my baby towed to a shop.
The owner comes back out while I'm waiting and offers to let me borrow one of his Ford F-450 pickup trucks while mine is in the shop. I politely turn down his offer. Then he proceeds to tell me, " What you're going to do is tell your insurance that this...this...and this... happened " I look at him and say, " excuse me? i'm not telling them anything but the truth " he goes, " that is the truth " i said, " No, it is NOT! The truth is that I came down to my car, I was told by a witness what happened, a total of about 6... and that is it " - he kept talking to me like I was some kid, it was pretty crazy.
The funny thing is that my step-father has been in the insurance industry for YEARS. I'm not some idiot, yah know? If you want to talk to me like I'm one of your employees, you're in for a rude awakening - go fk yourself.
Anyhow, I call his insurance, leave a message and they call back the next morning saying, "Sir, we don't insure vehicles in the state of Texas - we only insure California vehicles." WOW! WHAT - WHAT - WHAT!? My insurance company said not to worry about it and that they will take care of all of that junk... thank goodness.
woooooooooooooooooooooooow....
sorry to hear that man. Def sounds like he was tryin to cover his end and not be held responsible for anything.
