Alright, before I get started.....try not to laugh too much or tell me how big of an idiot I am, becauseI know.....
Anyways, on to the story: I was checking something in the spare wheel well and had taken out the foam thing that holds the jack/spare tools/etc. When i set it on the ground, I placed my key on top of it. Having finished looking at what I needed, I placed the foamtool tray back into the trunk (complete w/ my key). Now, the trunk is shut, the car is locked, and I can't get into it. When I bought the car, it only came with the one key (I know, I should of gotten a spare, it just never happened - again, I know I'm an idiot).
Anyone have any ideas of how to get into the car?

If you have AAA they can come out and open it for you. I left my dog in my car one day with the car running and he stepped on the door lock button. AAA came out and opened the door by using an air bladder at the top of the window to then reach in and hit the unlock button. You can probably get the same service from a local towing company.
Once the car is unlocked you can access the emergency trunk release cable located under the cup holder.
idiots at audi of oneonta somehow locked my key in my A4 back in the day. I dont know how they did it, always seemed like there was some sort of idiot proofing to stop you from locking the door with the keys inside. leave it to them to bypass the idiot proofing
Yeah, get somebody to do it with the air bladder and the other tools, I have seen many cars/windows get effed up by people using coat hangers ans screwdrivers or whatever. It will take an experienced person to get it open in about two minutes and wont leave a mark.
get the dealer involved only other way is to break the window because it dead locks so its total closure and when you sort it get a spare key to unlock the car only
yeah, I'm pretty sure pressing the unlock butten with the alarm locked well not unlock the car. I know it has a central locking system, if that means anything. If you could open a door handle tho you could get in. Let us know what you do.
Also- I just got an extra key from the dealer. The switchblade with cutting and programming was only around $125.
i've unlocked my car with a coathanger with alarm active.
annoying as hell having the alarm trip every couple minutes as we fought with it, but it worked.
The car doesn't recognize my pass door as being open, so before i got smart, there was a time where I unlocked the car with the fob to load the car thru the pass door. Dropped my first load of stuff on the seat, closed the door (with keys sitting on the drivers seat now), and went back in the house for another bag. Came back out and the unlock I had done with the fob had 'timed out' and the car relocked itself, since it never saw a door open.
Pried the window away from the seal with a screwdriver and some thin cardboard to protect the glass and seal, twisted 2 coat hangers together for strength, and started poking at the switch. Took about 20 minutes. Very aggravating.
