Default Gremlin in the dash wiring,

VERY long story, but I took my car to a really bad shop, and they replaced the check engine light. Since then, my speedometer and tac have been on the fritz. They work about 50% of the time. The other 50% the speedo bounces furiously at about 0mph and the tac does nothing. On what I believe to be a similar note, the blowers for the AC are out as well. I think they pulled some wires loose when they put the light in.

I took the gauge panel out, and checked the connections on the back, and they all seemed solid. Where do the other ends of the wires connect? I gave the engine bay a quick look, and I found one set of wires that wasn't seated properly, but that didn't fix the problem.

I think this is something simple to fix, but I simply don't know where to look. I really don't want to have to take it anywhere to look at it, because of this.
