Default Is this normal?

Is it normal for my 1999 A6 2.8 to sound like the water pump is still pumping after the engine is shut down for about 2 or 3 minutes? I look at the coolant reservoir and you can even see it moving the coolant a little bit.. Is that usual?

Default RE: Is this normal?

is it an electric pump? cuz some of the newer cars keep the radiator fans on after shut off to keep the engine at opperating temp. and cooler. cuz normally when you shut your car off the block will get hotter. so maybe audi does it? if its belt drivin that wouldmake no sence.did you flush the system or do any work to it? some systems have to be bleed for air. that sounds like it might give the appearence of what you are seeing.
