Default Exhaust advice

Need advice. Just had factory exhaust cut off and replaced with 2.5" pipe from the x pipe back. Here's the deal though, the place I went talked me into putting my magnaflows in where the factory resonator was after the x-pipe instead of putting them where the mufflers were. They thought it would be quieter. It is quieter - ACCEPT at about 2500 rpm the interior resonance is DEAFENING cause they are right under the rear seat! This isn't my first exhaust rodeo, and I'm not sure if it is true for cars, but all of the pickups I've owned that I did the exhaust on I put the mufflers under the bed so it wouldn't resonate in the cab. I'm thinking I'm going to pull the system they put on, chop it up and put my mufflers where I wanted the originally and it will *fingers crossed* cut the resonance down. Cause frankly the resonance is so loud it's almost embarrassing, especially in a car like this. I've made the rounds on youtube for the 2.7T with magnaflows and thats what everyone did, including one of the guys that mailed me back saying he has no resonance with them in that location.
