Default lights on dashboard acting weird

i started my car yesterday and the traction control light, a red flashing light saying brake and other lights were all on on my dashboard..i took my key out hit lock and unlock a couple times and started it again and they were off..does any1 know that this is from..i just got HIDs installed so does that have anything to do with it?

do the HIDs work ok? if they do then its not them ( it might be a faulty ignition switch ) they are plastic and do go down through ware and tare and then other problems pop up like it wont crank over/ all the dash lights start flickering/ sometimes they go off, just a guess though because its common on the older cars

^^^ It most likely has something to do with HID, even if they work fine.
It happened to me once while i was driving and turned the lights on... But i know a lot of people who have the same problem happening to them like every other day.

I had the same problem also when I put in my HID lights. I fixed it by taking the ground wire from off of the HID box (ONLY ON THE DIRVER SIDE )and adding anouther wire and making it ground to the frame of the car. The reason it happends is the ABS computer is on the same ground as your dirverside headlight and when you turn on your light they give a little feed back and that messes with ABS computer.
