Default WTF!!!!!

there is something wrong with my car. when i start it up, it revs real high and it stayes like that even when its in park i have a 04 1.8tq auto what can be the problem i also heard a sort of sputtering noise from the exaust i dont know what the problem is can anyone tell me please

Throttle body could be dirty, perhaps MAF sensor is dirty. That's what my problem was and I had that high rpm during startup.

just so u know this happened last night.... it happened when i put a different type of gas in my car i usually put the shell 91 in my car and i put 76 but it was still the 91 can that have something to do with it?

LOL you gotta mention these kind of things before you ask the question. Of course, and im 95% sure it has SOMETHING to do with that...
BTW, where did u find 76 octane??? How much of gas did u put???

oh shoot i didnt know that i just remember i put the expensive gas in my tank i only put 6 bucks tho lol i just needed enough to get to my house i didnt feel like standing there waiting for my tank to fill up

you know what i just remembered last night i put chevron in my car to 25 bucks worth of the highest one then when the gas light came on again i put the 76 maybe my car in acting like that cuz i mixed up the gases can that be a possibility?
