Default Need Helpp please!!!! serpentine belt replacement

well of course i went and did it. was selling the car last night and on the way to drop it off, the serp. belt decided to let go. so now i gotta do the belt. any tips/pics? of the way its routed??? i cant find anything on the web, and i really dont wanna take the front bumper off, thats not really an option for me. i saw something for a 2.8 that u can remove the fan, but on the 1.8 i think the belt drives that too???? please help!!!!

Audi A4 1.8 Cabriolet 2006 All the control modules do not work. Engine, headlights, comfort control, steering colum, convertible top, radio, and more. I have a 100,000 mile warrenty and I have driven the car 2,000 miles over 5 months. Dealer claims lighting was in the area, did not hit the car. What do I do. Rubinhj@aol.com

Are you talking about the Timing belt? If you TB broke then you in for some major $repairs$.

Here is how to replace the parts, but that doesn't cover all the internal parts that were ruined when the TB broke

ok - just making sure

use this DIY to remove the tensioner and see if you can figure out how to pull the old belt off and put the new belt on

you should be able to do the serpentine/auxiliary drive belt without a front end strip down
