Default Four-Down and 3.0L TDI?

Hello All!!

I'm brand new to this forum and are delighted to have found you!

I am thinking of buying a 2008 Q7 and have a couple of questions.

1) How would I be able to tow the Q7 "four down" (behind our motorhome)? Since it's an all time four wheel drive and does not have a transfercase disconnect.

2) When will the 3.0L TDI Bluetec engine be available in the US showrooms?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I am not sure on towing.... However, according to Audi USA the Q7 3.0 TDI will be in the US first quarter of 2009. It will be the first TDI Audi, and will only have the 3.0 TDI planned at this time. I would recommend you check with the dealer on towing, and what is needed to two a Q7. With its weight, you may want to do a lot of research.

Thanks for your reply.

The dealers know VERY little for the most part. I was hoping to catch a tech crack on this forum on this issue. Maybe there is some sort of an aftermarket transfer case disconnect.
