Default hood release.. help

ya i ran into a little setback.. i was changing the timing belt and when all was set and done i (accidently) forgot to connect the hood release cable so now the hood is locked.. how would i go about getting the hood open now. can i do it after talking off the bumper??

I don't think you can get at it by removing the bumper because the mechanism is behind the braces that hold the radiator etc. I think I would try to get at it from the bottom by removing the belly pan and seeing if the lever can be moved to pop the release.It will take a Looooooong arm or extension of some type.
