here is the deal i just got this deal that i dont know wut to do lol, my uncle has a TT a 01 225, he needs a 4 door car but wants to keep it an audi he was talking to me on trading me his TT with 69,XXX stock in good condition for my 99.5 A4 plus some cash??

idk anything about TT was the difference about my car and his and which one is easier to modify???
who's Faster??? lol

any tips would be good please

Mod-wise they're probably about the same. I think the two cars are running slightly different engines though (his is 225hp, yours is a decent amount less). That said, the TT would probably go higher in power with the same mods, given that it's starting higher, but ultimately it comes down to what you want to do. I'd think the TT has more of a sporting nature built into it than the A4 also, so you may find that right out of the box, it's more of a performer.

The TT seems as though it'd be cramped compared to the A4 - long as that doesn't matter (ie, for carrying stuff or several people), and you like the TT, go for it.

The TT's AWD system is a Haldex, so it has a much different feel, more FWD. It's based off the GTi/A3 platform. Drive it and push it hard and compare it to your A4.

Aside from swapping out the turbo, mods to either are pretty comparable. The TT is heavy for a small car, so the A4 with the same power would feel quicker.

That aside, TTs are nice. Drive them and pick which one you like better.

I say take the TT. So freakin sexy, and check out what they look like with widebodys. The power difference is comparible both ways. Take some weight off the TT, and go bolt on happy. And don't forget that cars don't always go in a straight line. Look into slolom speeds and trackability. There's a lot you can do with the TTs suspension that will make you forget about power sometimes. Lots of power or not, I give the TT two thumbs up on "fun to drive" factor!
