Default Where to buy Rotors and break pad?

Time to replace 4 rotors and pads plus the uper control arm(passenger side)

Local BREAK $MUFFLER SHOP gave me the price quote for 4 rotors+ 4 break pads + 1 front passenger side control arm total comes to $$1400. is that the way too expensive?

I am planning to buy on my own and get some shop to set them up that will save me a little i think.
So My question is where are you guys normally buy those things from?

thx to ThePaintballGuy:

I just checked the webpage you gave me above and found that there are too many choices for the rotors and pads too. For the ECS Slotted Rotors, can any break pad fit it? or must be specific one for the slotted rotors? BTW: besides looks better what else advantage does slotted rotor has?

Slotted rotors will cool better reducing brake fade under hard braking conditions. As for pads any pad that will work on the S4 will work with the slotted rotors. Just don't cheap out on them. Look at the Hawk pads, and also look at EBC Green stuff pads.

Drilled rotors reduce brake fade more than slotted, the main purpose of slotted is to allow the gases produced by the brakes to escape with provides for a fresher, more smooth surface helping to prevent the pads from becoming glazed over. Drilled is what helps keeptemperatures lower.

i'd suggest in just redoing the whole braking system while your add it, http://www.modbargains.com/product.a...Audi_S4_B5_BL2

even though most people here dont race the 24 hour le mans everyday, most like the look of big slotted and drilled rotors, stop tech has been good to me, sinch to install onto a Volvo v70 t5, no clue on audi s4 though, dont pay a shop when it comes to the rotors and pads man, tons of DYI pretty easy

i love this place i also use axxis pbr ultimates. make sure you get slotted rotorsonly. they are more of a sleeper look and won't crack later on.
