Default Xenons, projector headlights, im confused..

I know this has been asked a billion times but my searching has just left me confused.. i know i sound retarted but hear me out..

ive been looking to get myself a bi-xenon kit for my 02 a4 and i know people say you really should have the proper housing for them so you dont blind oncoming traffic.. i hear everyone refering to the fact that you need a projector headlight housing but isnt that what the stock housing is anyway? because ive seen people with xenons and theyre lights look exactly the same as mine but i have the stock halogens..

The stock headlights are projectors, if the low beam kinda looks like an eye its a projector. Even the halogen designs on a B6 are projector lenses.

U need the Bixenon headlights.
4300K is mostly white, so maybe thats why they look the same.. But still they are much brighter.

Yeaa it does thats what i thought but then what is the difference between an "HID ready" headlamp as opposed to my own?..

Ooh not the brightness of the light that i can see lol.. when i say that i mean in the daytime, lights off, my headlight appears to be the same as those who have a xenon if that makes sense
