Default audi timing belt shredded HELP!!!

i was coming to a stop at about 10 mph not fast. i heard a little rattle or grind in my engine and though it was the car behind me but when i push my gas my car didn't move, so i stop push my car over to the side and try starting it, it just sound like over cranking the engine... after towed my car home i notice there were shredded belt in my timing belt case when i move the cover. i wasn't going that fast at all??? how much would the damage be??? could it just be off timing??? what is the best way to check??? the acc. pullys turns when i crank the engine but the timing belt don't move??? i hav'nt try to move the upper cam by a tool yet. tell me the best procedre?! thanks anyone who will offer a help im scare!!!

You'll definatley need valve work, and if the belt stripped teeth, then likely alot more than just some valves.

yeah its deff. time for a TB job. stop playing w/ the engine it will only make it worse cause now everything needs to be re-alligned. you probably bent a bunch of valves.

i would start lookin for a new head cause its probably cheaper then fixing yours. a shop will probably ask you to bend over so they can take anywhere from $1200-$2000 outta your pocket. if the heads not banged up too bad you can probably sell it and make some money back.

hate to be the one to tell you all of that. sorry. good luck w/ it though.
