Default Oil Service Light

Folks, I have a 2005 Ultra Sport with the 1.8 liter. It now has 58K miles and has run without a blip for the last 45 months since I bought it. However, the Oil Service light in the middle-of-the-dash message center is beginning to flash and for no apparent reason. I recently had the oil changed at a Jiffy Lube and they topped off all of the fluids and changed the filters. The car runs fine, with no leaks, smells, or noise.

Is is as simple as resetting the computer in some way, or am I looking at an oil-pump or oil-pressure switch issue? This is my first Audi and I have been extremely happy with the car to date. Great mileage and fantastic build quality. Dealer service and supporthas beengreat too. However, before I spend lots of $$$$ with the dealer on this issue, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this problem and if there is a quick and proper fix. Thanks!

Uggh, I've copied and pasted my real response countless times but it doesn't take it yet it will take this?! And why is it adding in double ' everywhere?

This worked for my 2004 A4 1.8T. Borrowed this fromthe 2002 so it must work for 2002-2004 at least. To reset mine (2002 a4) hold the "wrench" button beneath your gauge cluster , turn the key to the on position "don't crank" and then hit the reset/clear button (next to the wrench). This will clear the "Service" reminder. Friggin Genius I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
