RE: Is there a difference in these carbonios?

I believe the first one is an early model, and the second is a remodel.

Supposedly the first generation was to expensive to continue making as the entire housing was constructed out of molded carbon fiber, (I used to have one) with a reversed K&N style filter on the inside.

The revised model only has a carbon fiber cover and uses a foam style filter. Are there any differences? Carbonio says the revision was for better flow, but I think it was just to expensive to make.

The only reason I sold mine was because I designed my own and it works and looks great. I also incorporated a velocity stack in order to smooth the airflow prior to the MAF.
