If you want racing springs for lowering, handling, looks, go for H&R's or Neuspeed's. You got a B7 or B6?

They ar all good. Depending what you want. Sport vs Race...
Lets say H&R race will lower your car a bit lower than your rear, so it has that agressive look. I got myself nesupseed race, and it is LOW. But with a lot of ptoholes in Chicago it is not fun to drive sometimes.

Probably because the shocks would bottom out and grenade. Besides, after lowering the suspension, the shocks will no longer be in their sweet spots so it may take away some of the damping characteristics. Not done it on my B6 yet but have done it on my Jeep.

Your stock shocks will still last almost 10,000 miles so replace them before that.
